Located in the Inner Gippsland Area of DET’s South-East Victoria Region, Bass Coast College is a Year 7-12 multi-campus school of around 1600 students. The Dudley Campus (Years 7 to 9) and the Wonthaggi Campus (Years 10 to 12) are situated three kilometres apart. A second junior campus (Years 7 to 9) has opened in San Remo, and our FLOW Campus in Wonthaggi provides individualised learning programs for students requiring specialised support.

Bass Coast College Wonthaggi campus held it’s an

Bass Coast College Wonthaggi campus held it’s annual Year 12 Arts and Technology exhibition opening on Tuesday evening, the 22nd October 2024.
The many parents and students saw a wonderful range of excellent work from our Yr 12 students.
Subjects represented were Art Creative Practice, Art Making and Exhibiting, Visual Communication Design, Media, Product Design and Technology (textiles) and Product Design and Technology (Engineering). Vocational education and training (VET) subjects Certificate II in Furniture Making pathways and Certificate III in Visual Arts were also represented.
Visitors enjoyed wonderful canapes and hors d’ouvres prepared by our VET Certificate II in Cookery Year 11 students.
Our guest speaker, ex-student, Meg Dal Masetto spoke about her experience in the arts fields and gave great advice about time after school.
The Henry Hammond Annual Visual Arts prize was awarded to Mak Krause.
Mak achieved great success in Art Making and Exhibiting, Visual Communication Design and achieved a first by being our inaugural Certificate III in Visual Arts graduate.
Congratulations Mak and the Arts team for a great exhibition.

🏆🥇 The Senior Girls Netball Team are State C

🏆🥇 The Senior Girls Netball Team are State Champions after defeating Maribyrnong Sports Academy in the grand final after narrowly losing by 1 goal on the siren in our first match of the day. The games were played at Waverley Netball Centre on Monday 9th September.
The girls played against a number of schools from around Victoria including Galen College Wangaratta, Rowville Sports Academy, Trinity College Colac. The girls went from strength to strength throughout the day and defeated Maribyrnong by 13 goals in the Grand Final to bring home the State Title. Thanks to Saskia Schmidt and Kiara Brusamarello for coaching, and congratulations to Amy Scott, Olivia Bramley, Keely Dennerley, Marli Box, Mataya Maloney, Lara Mullin, Isla Cousins, Eva Garnham, Macy Peterson and Sienna Tiziani on being the first State Champs of Bass Coast College.

🥁🎸 VCE Music Inquiry – Folio recording
On Thursday night, Year 12 Music Inquiry students recorded performance items for their Externally Assessed Task, which makes up 50% of the mark for the subject. Cain Herbert and Jamie Diesner successfully performed their music ably supported by non-assessed performers Caleb Heawood, Patrick Kavanagh, Leroy Montgomery (former student), Rose Florence and David Graham. For their folios, Cain focused on alt-pop artists like Dominic Fike and Jamie chose post-grunge supergroups such as Them Crooked Vultures.
We hope that the VCAA assessors enjoy this performance as much as we did!
